Kids music with Katy Hobgood Ray
Children’s musician and storyteller Katy Hobgood Ray is available to do music sessions for your organization. Perfect for libraries, school assemblies, and kids camps.
Katy will sing interactive music (sometimes accompanied by a special guest or two). Folk songs, clapping songs, name games and circle dances are incorporated into an interactive presentation, sometimes featuring a short stories or folk tales weaved throughout. Rhythm sticks, bells, shakers and scarves often round out the fun. Can be tailored for the toddler set all the way through young teens. (Ages 2-14)
For older students, interactive music history, creative songwriting sessions and/or podcasting sessions are available. Katy is a professional podcaster and radio producer. LEARN MORE

The Confetti Park Players
Katy Hobgood Ray & the Confetti Park Players are a new kind of musical team! Katy leads a fun mashup of a kids choir and fabulous, well-established adult New Orleans musicians. They sing catchy originals and familiar folk songs, jump rope jingles and clapping chants, and a few rock ‘n roll surprises. They’ve performed at the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival, French Quarter Fest, the Folk Art Fest, Mid-City Bayou Boogaloo, Beignet Fest, Creole Tomato Fest, Fête Française, and numerous venues around New Orleans. Musical Storytime with Confetti Park
Children’s librarians will LOVE our interactive musical storytime sessions! Katy Hobgood Ray and David Eugene Ray, award-winning children’s author, singer-songwriter and zookeeper, visit school libraries, school assemblies, and classrooms together to spread the love of reading and music! We will read storybooks from the Confetti Park workshop, and incorporate songs, games and rhythm games into an interactive presentation.
